PRDG Research & Consulting Services was set up by Padmini Ray in 2004.Padmini started her career 15 years ago with Marg in Kolkata. She then joined MODE and worked with them for four years. After gathering rich experience in Kolkata, she moved to Delhi to set up the Qualitative division of MBL (TNS).Soon after she joined AC Nielsen and set up their Qualitative division in Mumbai. Last worked as the Director- Head of Qualitative Research with ACN in India.In 2001 she moved to Oman and was engaged in handling diverse range of categories as a freelancer.Her major area of work included wide scale studies for the booming retail market in the Gulf.
Padmini has worked on a diverse range of product categories spanning from batteries, computers, internet, cellular phones, financial products, news papers and magazines, airlines, television, automobiles, personal hygiene, paints, watches, gas, alcohol, cigarettes, sanitary napkins, baby products, apparels, shoes, food and beverages, credit cards, confectioneries etc
In addition she has also conducted social research on water and sanitation, health and family welfare. Critical areas like AIDS,HIV,SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES are also researched by her extensively. Handled various research techniques and methodologies like Segmentation, Laddering, Semiotics, NLP, creative groups, NPD,Ethnography also various brand building models positioning models etc.
She has traveled extensively in India and S.E. Asia, Bangladesh and UK,conducting training programs on qualitative research, attending workshops on consumer behaviour across the world and also handling projects in each of these countries. Padmini has written several articles in business magazines on a variety of issues.
Her main strength is to analyse consumer insights and translate them into actionable and relevant recommendations to the client,which enables the client to develop their growth strategy.
Padmini is a post graduate in Comparative literature and a diploma holder in mass communications.
